Art House

Relegated to conceptual design, a generations-old home along the shore of Bobidosh Lake in Lac du Flambeau, WI, had deteriorated badly and needed to be torn down. Due to being located within a waterline setback and being non-compliant with current code, the new home needed to be built on the foundation of the old one. Juxtapositions between old constraints and the owners' new desire to display their extensive art collection were the catalysts for a sculptural response. The proposal played with light and space to create a live-in art museum. The project was authored by Joe while employed with CF Design.
