Hillside

Relegated to schematic design, this hillside home proposal incorporates three floor levels as it slowly steps down toward the lakeshore. The home is set deep into the earth at the upper level but becomes more exposed the further down it steps. The house is structured with wood columns and beams, and the scissoring roof planes allow clerestory light to entire the house at all levels. At the lower level, exterior patios, one open and one screened, provide places for forest-induced relaxation. The project was authored by Joe while employed with CF Design.
